Determine the position of the horizontal buttonhole inside the Extension in relation to the diameter of the buttons

Abstract

this research aim to put Standards determine the width of the extension and the amount of horizontal buttonhole found inside the extension with the diameter of the button differing  , the variables of the research are four variables for the diameter of the button (2.5 , 3.5 , 4.5 , 5 cm), which are the sizes that are used in jackets and coats which it performs horizontal buttonhole and three variables to extension wide (Equal to button diameter , 80% of the button diameter , 1/2 button diameter +1 cm) and two variables of the position of the buttonhole inside the extension (3 mm , 1/6 button diameter ) , a questionnaire was designed to evaluate The research samples, which was presented to the specialists in the field of clothing and textile The results concluded that the optimal width of the extension = 80% of the diameter of the buttons And the buttonhole starts 1/6 the diameter of the buttons. These ratios have achieved the best results . The researcher recommended to follow these ratios while making horizontal buttonholes (Straight and Bound buttonhole) for any size of button to obtain flawless clothing product
