Abstract

The aim of the research is to design a proposed strategy based on learning analytics to build digital content in adaptive learning environments according to the Vermunt Classification of Learning Methods (Vermunt, 1994), which includes four learning styles, including: reproductive-oriented learning, meaning-oriented learning, and application-oriented learning. -Non-directed learning style. This classification has been chosen for several reasons, the most important of which is its relative modernity, and that it is designed specifically for the undergraduate level.
The present research has come up with a proposed design for modeling adaptive learning systems that includes four main models, including: First: The learner model: It includes all the data about the learner, which is guided in the adaptation processes. Second, the content model: the model for identifying mechanisms for content adaptation, which includes adaptation of the content level, sources, activities, content objectives, content presentation, content nature, organization Content Third, the field model: responsible for the structure of adaptive learning systems, and includes mental maps of each of the elements of learning, learning objectives, previous requirements; in addition to the modeling of each of the concepts, instructions and guidance, and finally structuring the course; Among all adaptations, adaptation comprises: content, user interface, navigation, routing, as well as adaptation rules. Based on the elements of these models and their integration, a proposed strategy for building adaptive content in adaptive learning systems has been designed according to the pattern of learning, from the design of adaptive models, through all adaptation processes and content organization, to adaptation provided after the end of the learning process. It is recommended to employ this strategy in multiple adaptive learning systems, and to measure the effectiveness of adaptive learning systems designed in multiple disciplines according to the proposed strategy.
