Hippolyte Rabaud's method for teaching cello

Abstract

There have been many methods to play the cello throughout the ages, each of which contains new ideas for teaching how to play the instrument. Many distinguished players have emerged who have developed teaching the instrument, and many new methods for teaching the instrument have emerged. In the Romantic era, there are a large number of methods for teaching how to play the cello, but the Hippolyte Rabaud method is considered one of the distinctive methods for teaching how to play the cello.

The aim of this research is to identify the method of Hippolyte Francois Rabaud and how to benefit from it in teaching cello .

The research consists of two parts:

Theoretical framework:

It discusses a brief overview of the life of Hippolyte Francois Rabaud and his most important works.

Applied Framework:

The researcher analyzed, through the applied framework, Hippolyte Francois Rabaud's method for teaching cello playing in detail.

The research concluded with the results and a proposal for some recommendations, then the researcher presented a summary of the research in Arabic and English.
