Interaction between video display pattern (whole/partial) and the activity practice pattern (focused/distributed) and its impact on developing data management skills and improving cognitive agility among students of the computer teacher department

This research aimed to examine the effect of the interaction between the video display pattern (whole/partial) and the pattern of activity practice (focused / distributed) on developing data management skills and improving cognitive agility among students of the computer teacher department. To achieve this purpose, an achievement test, an evaluation card, and a scale of cognitive agility before and after learning were applied on 100 male and female students, who were divided into 4 experimental groups according to the research variables. The learning took place through closed groups created on the social network Facebook. The research results showed a significant impact of the four patterns (“whole display video pattern with focused activities", " whole display video pattern with distributed activities", "partial display video pattern with focused activities", " partial display video pattern with distributed activities") on the development of the cognitive and performance aspects of data management skills and improving the cognitive agility of students among the research group. The results of the research also showed the superiority of the "partial" video display pattern over the "whole" video presentation pattern in developing dependent variables. The results also showed the superiority of the "distributed" pattern of activities practice over the "focused" pattern of activities practice in development of dependent variables.
