"The Exposure of Adolescents to Science and Knowledge Programs on YouTube and Its Relationship to Their Cultural Awareness."

Abstract

The study aimed to explore the exposure of adolescents to science and knowledge programs on YouTube and its relationship to their cultural awareness. The researcher used the descriptive approach to measure the impact of the independent variable "science and knowledge programs on YouTube" on the dependent variable "cultural awareness." The study tools were applied to a sample of 50 adolescents. The tools included a questionnaire specific to science and knowledge programs and a scale for cultural awareness.

The study found a weak positive correlation at a significance level of 0.01 between the intensity of exposure to science and knowledge programs on social media and the students' total scores in the cognitive component of their attitude toward these programs. Additionally, the study found no statistically significant differences among the adolescents in the study sample according to demographic variables in the intensity of exposure to science and knowledge programs on social media.
