The research aimed to achieve a new vision to address the aesthetic value of spatial tension in sculptural works, and to find solutions and plastic approaches to the human body that depend on the relationship between mass and space. To achieve this, the researcher followed the quasi-experimental method in the researcher’s personal practical experience, the descriptive analytical method to show what was achieved from the research hypothesis. In his personal experience, the researcher limited himself to dealing with the human form as a formative and expressive starting point for his works
In its results, the research has achieved sculptural formulations that show the aesthetic value of vacuum tension in sculptural works, and to find various solutions and formulations through the artistic vision of the human body that rely on the relationship between mass and space, and that vacuum tension in sculptural works has a plastic aesthetic value. It is achieved through connotation of convergence, divergence, dissonance, and cohesion. The interstitial space in sculpture is a plastic space and an essential element in constructing the work, and it has a formal and expressive character.
