University students’ reliance on video journalism as a source of information about national development projects and its relationship to the image of the president

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to measure the relationship between the degree of university students’ reliance on video journalism as a source of information about national development projects and its relationship to the image of the president, through a descriptive study in which the researcher used the field research method for a sample of university students consisting of (450) male and female students, to whom the questionnaire was applied, and the researcher reached a set of important results from Among them:

Al-Youm-7 website came in first place as the most followed website by the research sample, followed by Al-Gomhuria website in second place.

There was a statistically significant direct correlation between university students’ reliance on Video journalism as a source of information about national development projects and their image of the president. It was also proven that there is a statistically significant direct correlation between university students’ reliance on Video journalism as a source of information about national development projects and the rate of impact The cognitive, emotional and behavioral consequences resulting from that dependence.

It was proven that there were statistically significant differences between the university students in the research sample in their rate of reliance on Video journalism in monitoring national development projects according to the variable (gender) in favor of males While there were no significant differences according to the variable (place of residence), there were also significant differences.
