Abstract

Each type of art has a structure that distinguishes it from other arts, music is an art within these arts that have specific elements that form its own structure; there is no doubt that the musical structure changes from one period to another, and Coptic music, like the various types of music, is full of ritual treasures and melodies, and each has its own occasion.

The research included:

Research problem - Research objectives - Research importance - Research questions - Research limits - Research procedures - Research tools - Research sample - Research terms - Previous studies.

The research contains two sections:

- The first section is the theoretical framework: (A brief overview of Coptic melodies -Maqam transitions in Coptic melodies -Performance methods used in praising with Coptic melodies - Methods used (lyrical) in Coptic melodies - Presentation of the words of the Coptic melody in Arabic and Arabized Coptic)

- The second section is the practical section: It contains the sample research blog and its analysis. The research concluded with results, recommendations, references and a summary of the research
