his research examines the essential methods and techniques for processing animal materials utilized by artists in ancient Egyptian civilization, beginning with ancient times and extending to modern approaches that incorporate contemporary technology. It also addresses the definition of animal materials, which include leather, bone, horn, and animal fibers such as wool, The ancient Egyptians documented their processing techniques for animal materials on the walls of tombs, with variations in methods according to the type of material. The study pays particular attention to the processing of leather, both in ancient and modern contexts, highlighting how ancient Egyptians developed techniques to meet their diverse needs, To ensure the durability of leather for use, they removed fats and blood that could lead to rapid decay. Additionally, the Egyptians utilized plants for tanning and coloring leathers, while modern techniques include salting and air-drying, among other processes, to produce a final product suitable for use , The research also covers the processing methods for animal fibers such as wool, detailing the steps from shearing and washing to producing threads suitable for weaving. Furthermore, it examines the processing of bone and horn, emphasizing the cultural significance and practical applications of these materials in ancient Egyptian art and daily life.
